When you are talking about automatic espresso machines you are usually talking about a top of the line machine. An automatic machine will usually do everything for you up to the point where the coffee is actually drunk. It is really hard to beat the convenience of a fully automatic espresso machine. However in buying an automatic coffee machine there are a few things that you really need to decide before you go ahead and make your purchase.
First thing that you really should decide is how much money you are willing to spend. For a fully automatic coffee machine you can spend anywhere between a few hundred dollars and a few thousand dollars. However my experience is that spending more money does not always mean that you get a better machine. So I would suggest to you that you set your budget and then do your homework to find the best machine that fits into your budget.
Once you have set your budget I would suggest that you head over to a website like Amazon and start to do a bit of market research. Alternately you can let me do a lot of the legwork for you and check out my website which is at the bottom of the article. When you look at the product reviews you really want to look at the reliability of the machines and also the customer service. Are people telling stories about how their machine has broken down numerous times? Or are there storied about a horrible customer service experience. Obviously it is always possible for one person to have a bad experience so if there is only one bad review out of many I wouldn't be too concerned. However if there is a pattern of bad experiences this should be a warning to you.
And finally I would suggest you check out the types of coffees available for each machine. You will probably find that you are locked in to using the coffee that is made by the manufacturer of your machine. So I would suggest that you check out the kinds of coffee that are available that you can use in your machine. Obviously it is very frustrating trying to drink great coffee if your espresso machine is always out of order, just as it is frustrating if you have a great espresso machine but you are limited to drinking coffee that you don't really like.
